Course Description

The session focuses on identification of signs and symptoms of strangulation including the anatomy and medical aspects of surviving and non-surviving victims. Participants will gain insight into the investigation and documentation of strangulation cases for prosecution; including the use of experts in court; and, most importantly, how to enhance victim safety through trauma-informed advocacy.
