Course Description

The OU Summer Jazz Intensive will allow students of all levels and instruments to expand their knowledge in improvisation, ensemble techniques and jazz fundamentals. We will also cover topics such as the history and lineage of jazz, bridging classical to jazz, jazz as language and much more. Students will be placed in a combo. The format will feature multiple daily 50-minute sessions that include listening, improvisation and ensemble rehearsals.

All students must show proof of vaccination to participate.

Refund Policy: Registration is a commitment of time, for the session, from both the purchaser and the instructor. Refunds will not be given unless there are extenuating circumstances, and an agreement is made by the Director of OU Community Music, the instructor and the student or family.
