Course Description

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma. EMDR therapy has helped millions of people relieve psychological stress, yet training programs are not widely available. This program seeks to increase availability of training for local practitioners.

Participants will learn the EMDR eight phase protocol and how to administer it to clients. An EMDRIA approved certificate of completion and title of “EMDR Trained Clinician” will be awarded after the participant has successfully finished the live instruction & practicums (40 hours), consultation hours (10 hours) and Moodle module assignments (self paced), with further opportunity to become EMDR certified after additional client experience, consultation Hours, with full state/non supervised state practice license.

*** Please note that first year graduate students are not eligible to participate according to EMDRIA standards.
